Kate's Recommended Children's Novels

I've been reading lots of novels not primarily intended for grown ups these days so I thought it best to start a new list for other people who are interested in this genre of literature. I haven't included the novels that I read and loved as a kid unless I have re-read them recently and still thought they are fantastic. And I don't think the classics (like, say, Charlotte's Web) really need my endorsement.

This list encompasses what are labeled "Youth", "Middle Grade", "YA", and "Teen" novels and is organized alphabetically by author's last name.
